Alive Mniki is a young, South African economist by qualification, whose personal experience as an unemployed graduate in South Africa fuelled her passion in socio-economic development, to independently establish her own socio-economic consulting and research company, Purpose: Economic Consulting.
Her struggles as a graduate seeking formal employment in a stringent South African labour market, initially led her to curate her own blog detailing some of the overarching economic issues affecting young people today, and posing possible solutions for more efficient communities and businesses.
We believe now is the time to apply relevant mechanisms to improve our socio-economic environment in Africa by re-writing our narrative.
